Rules & Etiquette
Here are some friendly etiquette tips for all golfers:

  • Be quiet while your playing partner is hitting.
  • Do not step in your partner’s line on the putting green.
  • Keep your shadow out of your playing partner’s line.
  • Replace your divot.
  • Repair your ball mark on the green as well as any others you see.
  • Play ready golf when possible to maintain pace of play.
  • Keep up the pace of play and if you cannot, waive the group behind you through.
  • Be ready to play when it’s your turn.
  • Do not write down your score on the green while others are waiting to hit.
  • Do not practice after missing a putt if other people are waiting to hit up.
  • Rake the bunker and leave it in better condition than when you entered it.
  • Tap down spike marks after you putt to make the green smoother for players behind you.
  • Compliment your playing partners when they hit a good shot.
  • Hold the flag part of stick while you are tending it so it does not flap in the wind.
  • Keep your golf bag off the green at all times.
  • Keep golf carts on the path unless local rules allow otherwise.
  • Do not use profanity on the golf course.
  • Do not throw clubs.
  • Yell “Fore” if your ball is heading towards somebody.
